Urban Planning Strategy Summary
Came across urban planning concepts that I wasn't familiar with, yet in study materials or online resources I either could not find a good summary (without reading a 500-page book while taking notes) or think to be not thoroughly comprehensive, So here is a DIY summary (with some helps....):

-
Thank you HaythamNCARB, I did not have a chart for storm water management, and believe I learned from Ballast & Amber Book of below:
- Best to use an infiltration basin for storm water management (allowing slow release of water back to the water table, avoiding dumping into a storm sewer like a catch basin does)
- Or include a bioswale (filter and recharge aquifer), or a water cistern (harvest rainwater for reuse) depending on conditions
Might be relevant for highwater table:
- Build a waterproof foundation
- Pump the water from the foundation out
- Slope the ground away from the foundation
- Use poorly graded gravel, add perforated drainage pipe around the site
Or what I learned from someone in real life (non-applicable for exams):
- Make sure your site is 50-100 ft above sea level ;D (and this is very conservative and few cities will be able to meet this)
