Can't Schedule an Exam for August 2021
I am attempting to schedule an exam for August 2021. This is a retake that I cannot schedule earlier than August. Trying to get ahead of typically low available testing appointments I would like to schedule it now.
Using my NCARB record, and following all the steps after selecting Schedule, there aren't any appointments available for either in-person or remote testing. I find it very strange and am wondering if I must wait a certain amount of time before scheduling an exam so far in advance?
Any assistance or guidance with this issue is appreciated.
Thanks,

Has June been confirmed somewhere? Last I heard was "summer 2021" for the PCI changeover. I assumed June, but technically that could be Memorial Day through end of August depending on what NCARB considers summer. NCARB is terrible at communication though, so I may have missed an announcement somewhere.
I second the request for an update - I'm trying to get through my last two exams before the switch (as are many folks I know) and would like to know when the end-date with Prometric is.

Did you see today's Instagram story from the official NCARB Account???
NCARB can't even pick up the phone right now to do customer service, due to "Technical Difficulties". They've been a complete disaster with everything they have done or said in 2020...
Be patient with trying to schedule an exam this summer. It's only February. NCARB can't even handle all the current fires they have created for themselves with the updated ARE 5.0 exam. Switching everything over to PSI is going to be a mess.

Devin,
Please bear in mind that exam retakes are subject to two rules:
1. Minimum 60-day wait from the date of the first test to the date of the retest
2. Maximum 3 attempts at one division within a 12-month timeframe.
More information about this is on page 26 of the ARE Guidelines. You can also reach out to NCARB Customer Service for specific questions about your testing.

Devin,
It's a rolling 12-month window based on the first administration out of three. So yes, if your first attempt was 12/22/19, then you'd be allowed two more attempts before 12/22/20. Since you mention you're not able to schedule your next attempt before August 2021, it sounds like you also tested in August 2020 - meaning your 12-month window now runs from August 2020 to August 2021.
As noted above, additional months for scheduling beyond May 31, 2021 are expected to be opened starting in early March.
