Thank you, Daralynn. When will candidates be able to schedule an exam with PCI?

No clue NCARB will have to answer that one.

Would love to get an update on how soon we can schedule with PCI.

Has June been confirmed somewhere? Last I heard was "summer 2021" for the PCI changeover. I assumed June, but technically that could be Memorial Day through end of August depending on what NCARB considers summer. NCARB is terrible at communication though, so I may have missed an announcement somewhere.

I second the request for an update - I'm trying to get through my last two exams before the switch (as are many folks I know) and would like to know when the end-date with Prometric is.

Hi Caitlin, When I try to reschedule the last date available is end of May . That is where that date is coming from.

Did you see today's Instagram story from the official NCARB Account???

NCARB can't even pick up the phone right now to do customer service, due to "Technical Difficulties". They've been a complete disaster with everything they have done or said in 2020...

Be patient with trying to schedule an exam this summer. It's only February.  NCARB can't even handle all the current fires they have created for themselves with the updated ARE 5.0 exam.  Switching everything over to PSI is going to be a mess.

    Patricia,

Apologies for missing your question earlier.  ARE appointments are currently allowed to be scheduled through May 31, 2021.  Additional months for scheduling are expected to be opened starting in early March.

So after waiting for almost 2 months for NCARB to update the new cut scores, I now can't schedule my retake until August 2021!!!!

This will be a delay of 9 months between my exam date in December and my retake in August!! Seriously, NCARB you guys can't be serious right now.

    Devin,

Please bear in mind that exam retakes are subject to two rules:

    1. Minimum 60-day wait from the date of the first test to the date of the retest

    2. Maximum 3 attempts at one division within a 12-month timeframe.

More information about this is on page 26 of the ARE Guidelines.  You can also reach out to NCARB Customer Service for specific questions about your testing.

My first attempt at PDD was 12/22/19. Does that mean I can take PDD two more times (for a total of 3 attempts) between 12/22/19 - 12/22/20?

Also, do you know when testing days will become available in August?

    Devin,

It's a rolling 12-month window based on the first administration out of three.  So yes, if your first attempt was 12/22/19, then you'd be allowed two more attempts before 12/22/20.  Since you mention you're not able to schedule your next attempt before August 2021, it sounds like you also tested in August 2020 - meaning your 12-month window now runs from August 2020 to August 2021.

As noted above, additional months for scheduling beyond May 31, 2021 are expected to be opened starting in early March.
