Hi All,

Could you please suggest the resources for section #1, 4 and 5.

This time I read the following and made highlights:

BOOks:

1. MEEB 12th Edition

2. Fundamentals of Building Construction Materials and Methods by Edward Allen, Joseph Iano

3. Building Construction Illustrated by Francis D. K. Ching

4. Heating, Cooling, Lighting Sustainable Design Methods for Architects by Norbert Lechner

5. The Architect’s Studio Companion Rules of Thumb for Preliminary Design by Edward Allen Joseph Iano ( I find this hard to read)

6. Fema454

7. Plumbing, electricity, acoustics sustainable design methods for architects by Norbert M. Lechner

8. Site planning and design handbook by Thomas H. Russ

9. Architectural Acoustics by M. David Egan

10. Sun, Wind, and Light Architectural Design Strategies by Mark DeKay, G. Z. Brown ( I find this hard to read..)

QAs: I only reviewed all but did not do any timed question paper this time.

avaddadi — I'd recommend also "the Mehta book" : Building Construction Principles, Materials, and Systems by Madan Mehta Walter Scarborough Diane Armpriest. Great for understanding systems and is easy to read. Also this book is essential for PDD

I think ASC is the best resource for content area 4 after reading all of Ballast. Read ASC cover to cover - it's easy to read.

I also like the Fundamental book, and BCI for learning about construction and structural systems, etc.
