NCARB Ethical responsibility to its licensure candidates
Hello,
What are the Ethical stands of NCARB in regards to taking responsibility for taking peoples' money for exams and not providing services?
-
Apparently none, I was told someone would get back to me on this issue but it never happened.
NCARB could have negotiated a refund (even partial) of exam fees with Prometric or an extension of the testing period for people with booked seats.
Alternatively, they could have provided exam credits in PSI to reimburse candidates that have paid and needed to re-schedule exams in Prometric after May 31st.
Not surprised..

Monopolies that are codified by law have no incentive to care about the people beholden to them. The only thing that will make NCARB respond is for us to stop participating.
I'm an architectural educator. I'm going to advise my students to stay away from NCARB until it reflects the community and listens to us.
