Anyone have advice for Content Areas 3-5 on PPD. I got 4's
I'm not sur where to study next for this one. I went through Studio Companion and Kaplan. Anyone know what the cut score is for PPD?

Tyrone,
I recommend going through Building Construction Illustrated and the Ballast Review Manual. Additionally, FEMA- Designing for Earthquakes- Chapters 4, 5, 8, 9 is a must read for seismic information. Karin's PPD & PDD Summary Sheets - v2.0 and Desk Crits are great for an overview of all topics as well. Cut scores are available here: https://www.ncarb.org/blog/what-score-do-you-need-to-pass-the-are. Shoot for a 71 on PPD for a pass. Good luck with the retake!

BCI also may be a good 1st step for you. I suggest then reading all of Ballast (the PPD chapters) and after that all of ASC. Reading of ASC will be quick.
Watch industry standard youtube videos about construction topics you are not familiar with.
Your score is very low - you need to pass area 3 & 4 securely.
Keep studying! Hope this helps!

I loved ASC. I'd read the whole book. It's easy to read; it's mostly graphics. I read it in less than 2 weeks. It will really help you synthesize all your knowledge about the systems.
You do need to understand the different structural systems and mechanical systems before reading it though.
Hope this helps!

I feel you. Just took PPD and got 2’s and 3’s which was the same I got when I took it back in May 2017. I felt really good the whole test and have been leading a brown bag study group teaching the material at my firm. I was surprise to see a fail. Not sure what to study at this point.
