The Architects Handbook versus The Architecture Students Handbook???
Would you say the two are so different that using the student version would not be useful? Is there information in the professional version that I would be missing if I were to use the student handbook?

The contracts were updated in 2017, so it's better if you have a version that is newer than 2017. I used an older student version because it was what I had (free). The student version is more concise. I read all or most of it for the ARE, and I passed...
Hope this helps!

I agree with Rebekka, there is a lot more info in the non-student version, but the student version has a lot of good information, especially for PjM, PcM and CE! I passed all three with the student version, you need to take some time to compare the chapters if you can in order to see what chapters to read.
