NY State Architecture app still not approved?

I submitted and paid for the NY state architecture application a month ago and still have not heard back? Anyone know how long this process takes?

  For exam eligibility or license?
  For license, its up to 8 weeks.  Website says wait for about 6 weeks before contacting them.

  I'd check on it!  The state goes back to NCARB to verify your record.  In my state I had to request the NCARB records again manually and the interface was not user-friendly.  And it did take awhile...

  Hi Stephanie,

  I'm in NYS so I can provide my timeline, I submitted my application for exam eligibility on 11/30/2021 and got the approval on 04/08/2022.

  i submitted the application for exam eligibility on 11/30/2021 and got response to provide additional document on 03/28/2022. Now it has been more than three months since they received the supplement document and currently still under review with comparative education department.

  WOW! Am I the only one who finds it ridiculous that it takes this long for states to approve your license?!

  My state did in less than 2 months DURING THE PANDEMIC SHUT DOWN! 
  Did they already charge you the fee?!

  To New Yorkers, it is acceptable lol. They charge the fee immediately once the application is submitted.

  That’s not acceptable!  I’d call them today!  Tell them you’re going to rescind the fee if it isn’t processed in three days.

  BTW, I searched my email records shows the explanation of the long time. Anybody in NYS who is experiencing the same scenario could contact them directly.

  Four weeks in and I called to check on the status of my application. They wasted no time cashing my check but the application is still in the queue....
