Getting a discount on Amber Book from Young Architect was easy
Today I was reading Young Architect's website and I learned Young Architect organizes and shares their Amber Book discount with their website readers. Young Architect's Amber Book Discount is $220/month which is $20/month cheaper then if you organized your own group.

Within 2 hours I was emailed a discount code and didn't have to organize anything or find people to sign up with. I hope this helps.
They also gave me a free ticket to attend Michael's next monthly ARE Webinar and a discount on a Young Architect Conference ticket. I plan on attending both.
Has anyone attended a Young Architect Conference before? Everything i read about it on their site looks really interesting. How is it different from an AIA Conference?

I used both Amber book and YA content to help get my license and found both to be extremely helpful! I’ve been to the YA conferences and think they’re a breath of fresh air the Architecture industry desperately needs! The sessions are fantastic and engaging even though it’s all virtual currently. Mike and his awesome team have built a very supportive community.
(Also young is a mindset! It’s open to all members of the A community.)

The YA Conferences are great to put it lightly. Think less product reps and continued education and more mutually motivated young professionals sharing life together. I know continued education is a need but conferences based around them are limited in scope. There are some industry subjects that need to be discussed that don't make a learning unit but that are just as important. Give it a shot and you will be hooked. Guarantee it.

I’m so happy to hear you’re interested in the YA Conference and Mike’s ARE seminar! The Young Architect Bootcamp was a game changer for me in passing my last two tests, I was really stuck in a failure cycle and it was quite defeating. Mike helped encourage me past that discouraging point and I’m forever grateful!
As for the conferences, they are very different from an AIA conference. For example, at an AIA conference you might expect your feature presentations to be from starchitects. In juxtaposition to that, a YA conference is going to focus on creating better ARCHITECTS not just architecture, that’s anything from speaking on time management, alternate career paths, healthy mindset, better communication with your client, and the list goes on. YA’s motto is to create the next best generation of architects using a grassroots method of “for the community, by the community.” That means the people you hear from at YA conferences are just like you, young professionals to experienced, giving advice on being your best self.
All that to say, I’m so excited for you to experience this community. Echoing everything Chelsea says above, it’s so supportive!

I've recommended the YA conference to sooo many people. I'm an older professional, and almost didn't attend when someone told me about it because I thought I was too old for a "young architect" conference, but I couldn't have been more wrong (and I was still far from the oldest person attending). I wasn't pursuing my license before my first conference, but there was so much content that helps me in my personal and professional life. Seminars like goal-setting, project management, communication, and personal finance have helped me look at the things I do at work and home a bit differently. The seminars approach you as a cohesive person, rather than just a professional. The stand-out part of these virtual conferences, though, is the way they handle networking. I'm an introvert, and have a hard time just chatting with strangers at an in-person conference, but the networking sessions are handled so well that it makes it easy to step out of my comfort zone and really get to know the community. Because of the first conference I attended, I was inspired to start pursuing my license and I am now in the middle of my AREs. Some of the people I met at the conference became friends on social media, and we have encouraged each other along the way. Anyway, I highly recommend attending, and I highly recommend participating in the networking events and the social media posts so you get to know the community a bit better. Hope to see you there!

Hearing about everyone's experiences at the Young Architect Conference definitely made it sound like something that I could benefit from.
I also attended Michael's webinar last week about ARE 5.0 and though it was fantastic. No one has ever taken the time to properly explain what the ARE is to me and how to effectively get started studying for it. He got me very excited to get working on this process. I'm seriously considering joining The ARE Boot Camp in 2022.

I'd like to personally thank everyone who commented on this thread about attending the Young Architect Conference.
Over the weekend I attended the Young Architect Winter Series from your recommendations and it exceeded my expectations by a lot. Never in my professional career have i ever seen such a supportive and inspiring group of individuals. I made lots of new friends. It reminded me a lot of being back in architecture school.
Even though I haven't made much progress on my exams, I still found the recently Licensed Architect Celebration to be deeply inspiring. The specifications workshop and small firm panels were also very helpful. I'm seriously considering submitting a proposal to speak at their next conference about project management.
I never realized how much Young Architect is genuinely helping people. I don't see that happening at the AIA. My entire experience with the AIA has been a disappointment. I deeply regret not joining the ARE Boot Camp several years ago, because i thought it was too expensive..
