Is there any PPD content that ISN'T on PDD?

While there maybe overlap on structural, MEP, sustainable strategies, code/ADA, and specs, these are two different exams. PPD is more in the SD/DD level, while PDD is more in the CD level. IMO the Ballast material is good, skip the calculations, review structural diagrams. Contrary to popular beliefs, I studied for these exams separately and successfully passed both. I cannot stress enough: Do plenty of practice exams, then do more.

Agree with Peter. PPD is more schematic, including broader site concepts. I just took both - PPD then PDD a month later - and I thought that sequence was helpful to go from conceptual to more specific. Edited to add: I felt like I over studied more detailed design concepts for PPD, but it then helped with PDD.
