Seismic Design - Resources??

Just failed PPD on my first try. I feel like I had at least 10 questions regarding seismic design (the structures required, force diagrams, etc.) and I was incredibly unprepared for those. The only resource I used that referenced earthquake design was the Brightwood book, does anyone have any additional resources??

  I would say both chapters 4 and 5 of FEMA. It is a great resource!

  Hi Claire,
  I highly recommend reading FEMA Chapters 4,5 and 9. Also check out Building Structures Chapter -9. Hope you pass next time, sorry that you failed. PPD is the hardest of the six exams so don’t worry, you will pass. Good luck!
