Quick question about the 'Backlog' and 'Accounts Receivables'

Hi ARE community,

 

One quick question, I am wondering what's the difference between 'backlog' and 'accounts receivables'? Are they the same thing? Seems they are both the money should received but not have been paid yet?

  'Backlog' is work contracted but hasn’t performed and therefore hasn’t invoiced to the client (AHPP # 1118)

  In the opposite: 'Accounts receivables’ is the outstanding that invoiced and waiting to be paid (the work has been invoiced).
