Blackwater versus Graywater

I have come across several different lists describing which items are blackwater and which are greywater.  After compiling my notes I believe the following list is correct.  Confirmation from the group would be appreciated!

BLACKWATER

Kitchen Sink

Dishwasher

Toilet/urinal

 

GREYWATER

Bathroom Washbasins

Bathtubs/showers

Clotheswashers

  Per MEEB, dishwashers and kitchen sinks are considered "Dark graywater".

  It is usually prohibited for reuse.

  Carie, in Building Const Illustrated 11.28 there's a diagram, it states "Soil Stack Carries discharge from water closets or urinals" and "Waste Stack carries discharge from plumbing fixtures other than water closets or urinals."

  I read that as only toilet/urinals being black water may not to be reused. All others may or maynot be reused, depending on local regulations.

  rule of thumb: if the water contains anything that comes out of you (toilet, urinals, kitchen sink, dishwasher, etc.) its black water; if it's used for cleaning (lavatory, washing machine, shower, etc.) its gray water.
