Who is holding NCARB accountable for 5.0?
Here is my favorite page on NCARB's website https://www.ncarb.org/nbtn2019/examination
to sum it up, since 5.0 was introduced:
- Time to complete ARE increased by an average of 2.2 years
- Pass rete went from close to 70% high for 4.0 to flatline of 54% with only CE and PrM breaking the 55% mark.
- People who took the ARE before completing AXP have a higher pass rate than people who did 3 years of it. Meaning the program that NCARB set up to help you become a better architect doesn't make you a batter architect by their own testing standards.
How do you define success?
-
I did, regarding this and the ARE handbook issues, waiting to see what comes of it. How much you want to bet that the state will respond to this before NCARB. I also looked at the better business bureau, looks like NCARB is not part of it, and they only had 4 complaints in the last 3 years giving NCARB A- business rating... I am assuming not many people know about this.
the best part about this is, their profile is listed under "Computer repair"... I guess Microsoft better watch out.lol
