PJM areas to study
I just took the PJM test and passed on the first try. I have been studying about a month and have passed the PCM test before this. The two test are very similar and I think I could have studied for them both at the same time and taken them closer together. I used designer hacks for practice questions, Quizlet, Schiff Hardin lectures, and AHPP (sections from WIley) and the Ballast review manual. Designer hacks was not as good as the black spectacles questions I used for PCM but for the price was a good alternative (no case studies are included). These are the topics I would focus on the most:
-Scheduling
-Responsibiltiy in different situations (owner, contractor, architect) mostly who has to pay for what
-B101, and A201 (Schiff Hardin lectures really helped with this)
-Delivery methods especially fast track and IPD
-Unit cost calculations. know sq ft to sq yd and cubic ft to cubic yd.
-Hourly rates and multipliers, break down which person (salary) and how many hours they can work within the projects budget
Overall my recommendations are to study for PJM and PCM together and really know the contracts. I only have about 6 months of work experience so most of my knowledge about these tests has come from studying this material.
Good luck!
