    PDD is a good starting point for you based on your background. Make sure you read the related AIA forms at least 2 or 3 times.

    Gang Chen Thank you! The reference matrix doesn't show any AIA contract documents associated with the PDD exam. Am I mistaken, or do you mean something different?

    Good catch. I did not check the AIA Handbook when I posted the last remark. Interesting to see NCARB actually specifically notes: “None of the standard list of AIA Contract Documents related to the ARE have specific content covered in the Project Development & Documentation division.”

    A101, A201 and B101 is important for all phases of architectural practice. These three documents should be read at least 2 or 3 times for ARE exams in general.
