Soil Reports
Fresh from PA fail. Had a lot of questions involving boring tests and how to read them. I have yet to see a resource depict the same diagram involving the different types at certain elevations, does anyone know of a good one?

You can simply get a copy of the soils report from one of the project you are working and read through them to become familiar with them. Most office has a pdf version of the soils report for each project.
Learning how to read them is important, but for real practice, reading the recommendation section is most important, and make sure you coordinate the soils report recommendation with the structural engineer’s plans' details and notes. Many structural engineers simply copy their standard details and notes and they often do not match the soils report recommendation.
