    Hi Jake,

Sorry about the fail. I could be wrong but ASC architects studio companion has good info on that. I have a really old version.

I had a few on my exam today. Check out Arch Graphic Stds. E12 ch 10 p 274 - 277 for a good overview of soils reports. No, not exactly, graphical identical, but should be good enough.

Brightwood Programming and Analysis 5.0 - Lesson 7 has some examples of boring logs and site evaluations.

You can simply get a copy of the soils report from one of the project you are working and read through them to become familiar with them. Most office has a pdf version of the soils report for each project.

Learning how to read them is important, but for real practice, reading the recommendation section is most important, and make sure you coordinate the soils report recommendation with the structural engineer’s plans' details and notes. Many structural engineers simply copy their standard details and notes and they often do not match the soils report recommendation.
