Hi,

I'm sure this is a relatively simple question for most however I'm asking it anyway as I haven't done a lot of fixture count analysis in practice and just want to make sure I'm using the chart correctly.. 

My made up question..

If you have an occupant load of 5,000 people, 2,500 men and 2,500 women in a Business Occupancy, based on the chart below, would the total number of water closets equal 102? 

The math: 

2,500 - 50 = 2 fixtures

2,450 / 50 = 49

49 + 2 = 51

51 x 2 = 102

  If given an occupant load without specifying how many men vs women and asked to calculate the number of fixtures,

  should I assume 50% men and 50% women?
