I did PDD exactly one week after PPD and passed. PDD is a lot easier than PPD.

JCorrington - that's interesting!  Lately most people have been saying PDD is more difficult.  There is always a "most difficult" ARE as the test evolves, but it varies with time depending on how each division ends up being assembled.

Take PDD and PPD as close together as you can manage - the underlying topics are almost identical, and to study for one is to study for the other and vice versa.  A day between them is probably a good idea just to recover your stamina, a week apart is extremely reasonable.  If you've already studied for CE, then you've already covered the handful of topics that are likely to show up on PDD but unlikely to show up on PPD.

*Most people I've spoken to, I should say.  I wouldn't put too much thought into which one is "more difficult" - it'll vary with what specific topics are tested on and how that relates to what specific experience you have from work and school going into either division.  If you know general properties of building materials and assemblies, PPD is probably going to be easier, if you know the Project Manual and Specifications like the back of your hand, PDD is probably going to be easier - but not always!

My experience with each was that PPD had a very wide range of content. PDD was narrowly focused and tested ability to read drawings.
