PPD exam (likely) failure

Hi Amanda! Sorry about the failure. Usually the preliminary result is the result. Unfortunately I never heard the actual result being different. The PPD practice exam is a bit misleading in my opinion because it is very easy. PPD is in between PA and PDD exams so there will always be some overlap between these three. In some versions the exam may look more like PDD and in some others it may be closer to PA but there is no way of knowing so you need to be prepared. This is why I always recommend people to solve all PA and PDD questions while studying for the PPD exam. If you can maybe share what you studied for PPD so far, I can offer more help on what to study next. I am sure others would contribute more accurately too. But PPD is a very hard exam to pass in general (it has the lowest pass rate) so don’t be too hard on yourself. You will pass this exam eventually. You may need to change your study approach a little bit.
    Good luck!

Hi Amanda! I had the same experience as you did. I passed the practice exam and felt very confident going into it and failed as well. I was frustrated and shocked by the questions because they definitely felt more like a PDD exam than a PPD exam. I don't have any insights, but wanted to let you know you aren't alone and I am struggling with the same issue. If you want to chat more or maybe we could study together some to support each other, let me know!

Same here. Got a 82 on the first try with the ncarb practice exam and passed others like amber book and elif. No clue what happened. My exam was very similar to pa and lots of code. Almost no plumbing, electrical or mechanical calculations.
