This system is a joke
Well, I have done 4 exams in the past week and all of them have been a mixed bag. Today was hilarious though. First, when checking in the guy could not read my id and told me to log out and adjust the zoom on my camera (Please keep in mind this is my 4th exam in a week. So, I know the camera is fine). So, I logged out and checked and of course it was fine. I then logged back in and the person had no problem reading my id. I then continued with my test. Took a break and came back. When checking back in from my break the next guy then starts interrogating me about the book in my hand (I was told to hold something behind my id during the first Prometric session so that the camera will focus on my id). So, I tell him I was told to have book behind me id. He does not care. So, I throw the book onto my bed. He then asks me to show where the book is and it is not far enough away. So, I must get up move it and go through the whole process again. Which I find hilariously stupid as I will need it the next time I go to the bathroom. Any way this whole process of him checking everything again buns up about 6-7 minutes of break time. Not only that I had to wait 2-3 minutes before going on break as they do not respond. The break time should not be part of all this constant checking. It is annoying and ridiculous. Well anyway I get back to my test only to be logged out 2 minutes later and I've to go through the whole process all over again. At least the next guy was nice and tried to go through everything as quickly as possible.
Yesterday I got logged out 3 times. This system is a farce and expensive.

Fill out the independent survey. NCARB seems to think very few people are experiencing problems.

Re-commenting on this post. The system is a lot better now. The proctors are far nicer and its all a lot easier. I did all 6 exams from home. I failed 5 exams so its hasn't been plain sailing but I got used to the testing at home and it was so much easier. Getting logged out isn't that bad as you can take a small break, go to the bathroom and go back to the exam.
I do wish we had scratch paper but the more I used the whiteboard the more comfortable I got with it. As everyone else is in the same boat its not that bad.
