Online Proctoring - DON’T DO IT
I took PPD on Wednesday (04/28) via online proctoring and am warning anyone thinking about scheduling one, to not. I highly advise you take it at a testing facility.
I was kicked out of the exam three times, which added to the stress already involved with taking these and greatly interrupted the flow of the exam. I will never take a proctored exam again and will never refer anyone I know to take it. It was appalling how much time I spent troubleshooting. I am greatly displeased with NCARB and the lack of support they have given to test takers on this issue. Many test takers have had these issues but they don’t seem to be addressed. All in all I spent about 2 hours additional on top of a 4 hour exam fixing issues, getting rescreened by different proctors 4 times, uninstalling the software and restarting my computer because of their glitchy system. If you want $50 to get a webcam OK, but if you want a better chance to pass, don’t do it.
I ended up passing, which calmed me down a bit.

Hi Joel,
Please report your exam technical issues, specifically what occurred during your case studies, to NCARB Customer Service as soon as possible. Your information will help us improve the online exam experience.

Joel - I'm so sorry to hear about your testing experience, I just took PPD, PDD and PA last week online and had no issues. However, it is probably worth noting I took them in an office at my work, on a desktop with ethernet. I much preferred this to going to the test center. The setup could make the difference.
