No scratch paper?!
Took pcm for my third attempt today and they threw a curve ball at me...NO SCRATCH PAPER! Why, NCARB?! I thought the virtual whiteboard is for online exams only?! This is outrageous!

Hi Chris,
This has literally been the hot topic of conversation on this site forum for MONTHS. NCARB switched to a computerized whiteboard approach only to keep things equal between those who take the exam at home vs. in person at the testing centers (i.e. those at home don't get to use scratch paper, so therefore those in person also don't get it). For your next test, you should practice using the whiteboard until you're comfortable with it so you don't get surprised next time. Best of luck!

Juliana, thank you but I didn’t pass :/
They did tell me however that even though they weren’t giving out scratch paper, we are able to have access to any study material if we take a break. Any viewed questions are locked if you go on break regardless if you answer or not.
Lots of staffing on the case studies...I struggle with staffing

I'm sorry to hear that, Chris :( One thing I didn't realize is that you can create multiple sheets of scratch paper that don't disappear. I had an overview sheet where I mind dumped all the formulas and definitions I remembered, and then individual sheets for each of the calculation problems.
Instead of trying to use the pen feature on the scratch, I just used the text and typed out all my calculations. I also used the "scratch paper" to get through the staffing problems by process of elimination. There are so many items that can easily be overlooked when comparing the most appropriate candidates for a job.
Hopefully the next exam you take goes smoother! When I took project management I barely needed to use the scratch paper.

Thanks, Julianna.
That failed PcM exam was my third in this calendar year so I cant take it again til around thanksgiving, unfortunately :/
I'm on to PjM now...scheduled for May 7th. How was PjM? Did you find it harder or easier than PcM? Any advice for PjM?
What advice can you give me regarding staffing and using process of elimination?
