3 Strike Crash Rule?! Be Aware

I took CE online and "likely" passed yesterday. All three of the online proctored exams I've taken have crashed at least once. The common thread between them is the that crashes happened during the case studies, which I take after I've completed all the discrete questions and have taken a break.

After crashing yesterday I learned about a Prometric Proproctor "3 Strike" policy that will lock you out of a test that I don't think is common knowledge for test takers.

I encountered Error BB01045 twice which forced the exam to exit.

1st crash (Case Study 1, final question) I rejoined after a few minutes and moved on to the next question when I crashed again.

2nd crash (Case Study 2, first question) I rejoined the queue for a proctor and was told I will not be allowed back in to the exam until I contact their technical support, troubleshoot with them, and get a ticket number. Once I had the ticket number I could rejoin the queue for a proctor, give them my ticket number, then be allowed back in to the exam. The reason given for this procedure is because I encountered the same error twice. When I talked to their technical support I learned what would happen if I crashed a 3rd time...

If you crash 3 times from the same error you are entirely locked out of the exam, no reentry, and you must reschedule... I think they said there would be no fee for this situation.

I was on my 2nd crash with a few questions left to answer. They told me if I crashed a 3rd time and was locked out of the exam I could request to have the exam scored by NCARB as-is to see if I could get a passing score with those last few questions left blank. However I would expect rescheduling would not be free of charge in the case of a failing verdict.

This adds another layer of unnecessary stress and pressure to test takers. I was connected via ethernet, I don't know how it's possible that the error could have come from internet connectivity issues from me. I don't think it's a fair rule at all, but I wanted to share here so more candidates are aware.
