Preparing to Retake PPD
I took PPD back in January and will be retaking in April.
My main source of study was the Amber Book and passed all the other exams.
Based on the score report, I did not do well in Content Area 1: Enviromental Conditions & Context, and Content Area 5: Project Costs & Budgeting.
Any advice on how to improve these areas?
Currently I am review the entire Ballast PPD division and I am planning to review the PDD division as well.
Thank you.

I would re-read all the PA and PPD sections for PPD. I would not re-study the PDD stuff.
Certain parts of Sun, Wind & Light should be helpful for Area 1.
I'd also read ALL of ASC, it will help you with Area 5 and selecting systems. It is really easy to read. You will get through it quickly.
Good luck with your exam!

That is the exact same score report outcome I received the first time I took this exam.
I went back and read every section of every resource I could on Site Design. This includes Sun, Wind, and Light, and the sections of site planning of the review manuals. Specifically, I always recommend the Ballast ARE 5,0 Manual. I just think it is useful.
As far as building cost. This is quite a lot about Math and understanding the question. I think these questions a person should take more time to solve, and then solve a second time to see if they get the same answer twice.
You can read about cost estimating, but I would also recommend trying to find cost estimate problems as practice. Practice tests and example problems. But I do think they largely come down to being able to do math in a pressure situation, and making sure you have read the problem correctly.
Best wishes!
