Test Incident
Hey guys, I had a really bad experience yesterday when I was about to take my PPD test. While I was reading the ARE Candidate Agreement which I always read carefully; apparently I did not notice that was taking me more than the allocated time to read it and without a reminder notice saying that the time has ended (do you agree or not?) the test ended without an option. I don’t really know if the time for reading the agreement was shorten by some reason but I was reading normally as I always do. Then appeared a message on the screen saying “you have declined the ARE Candidate Agreement, ended your examination and forfeited your exam fee”. I panicked immediately and Prometric staff try to do the best they could but they never could bring the test back. At this point I don’t really know how legal is to rush somebody to read a binding agreement or what’s the reasoning behind timing an agreement or disqualified someone for reading carefully a legal document. In my case is way worst because I have testing accommodation with extra time for visual disabilities and I believe its only fair that time extension applies in all matters related to testing, including the agreement. So just want to let you know so you are aware and if that happened to you please report it. I don’t know if this is legal but I’m sure is not fair.

The test center should have given you a phone # to call. You should get a free reschedule.
Also, don't read the agreement anymore during the test! It's the same agreement for every exam. Don't waste valuable exam time. The agreement is available online at home. Like you learned, you have to agree to it or you cannot take the exam. Just hit I agree and move on. Maybe the exam attendant started the exam before you entered too (?) and nobody realized it was timed.
Sorry this happened to you. :( Hopefully you can reschedule asap! Good luck!
