Starting ProProctor
I am not sure how it's supposed to work, and I haven't seen anybody comment on the startup process of the ProProctor software.
I just tried to do my test run, and when I launch the exam, it pops up a splash screen, shows a couple loading/update things, and disappears. Is there supposed to be some window that stays up until a Proctor can come on? I don't see anything in Task manager processes that indicate any software is running either. I was a few minutes late to the appointment, in case that would affect whether the software actually starts or not.
I've rescheduled for next weekend, hoping I can figure it out then. Actual exam isn't for a month.

I just did my test run and found this confusing as well... You need to install software before you launch the exam, from here: https://rpcandidate.prometric.com/ Run the exe file you download. This will not actually install a program (so you cannot find it if you search your programs list), it's a google chrome plug in or something. Then, you launch the exam using the link they provide...

Thank you for the comments, but there seems to be a misunderstanding.
I have installed the pro proctor software ahead of time, and it does pop up as if it's starting when i click "launch exam" on the website, but then it disappears. Is there a program window that is supposed to stay open until a proctor connects?
I'm thinking I'll uninstall/disable all chrome addons and see if that makes a difference. It seems odd that theres no indication that the program is running or not, so I assumed there is supposed to be something.

I just finished my test run and I had to click the "Finish test" button twice for the exam to actually end. I think its best to let the proctor know before hitting the finish button (after you are done with your exam) just to be on the safe side.
But this is what I found in another thread.
"Yes, you can exit the exam without informing the proctor. However, when taking a break, you must inform the proctor." - NCARB
