Visual learner? Watching This Old House is helpful
I'm studying for PPD and have been having trouble retaining concepts by just reading. There's a lot to learn, I have trouble visualizing them with Ballast, and making a review doc with pictures is way too time-consuming. I recently learned my smart tv comes with This Old House reruns built into it and watching it has been incredibly helpful. I'm watching how they choose and install different kinds of insulation, air barriers, vapor barriers, and waterproofing membranes. I read these chapters on the Ballast review manual about 2 weeks ago and these episodes reviewed, expanded on, and cemented that knowledge. When I'm doing related practice problems, I remember the hosts talking through the reasons why and *showing you* how to use each thing as if I had shadowed someone on-site. I cannot recommend it enough for visual learners. At this point, I'm not sure if it will help me pass but it will definitely help to know things in general.
