Building efficiency percentage

Hi,

In the PA section of Ballast we see Building efficiency factor stated for certain building types, say Hospital - 55%, Apartments- 65%, Office-75%...and so on.

I'd like to know from which source is this information being cited? Has anyone been able to spot these percentages in a book? I've scanned Problem Seeking and Planning & Urban Design Standards but didn't come across these numbers.

Would appreciate any pointers, thanks!

  No, but that's a good question, especially since these things probably change over time, maybe not enough to change the percentage significantly.
