Testing Tip - What Order Should I Take The ARE Exams
Hi All,
I'm planning on beginning to take the exams next year and I wanted to hear what is the best order to study and test for the ARE divisions.
Thank you all!

I've gone CE, PCM, PJM, PA, with PPD and PDD forthcoming.
I would strongly argue for CE first. The studying I did for the contract portion of CE has come up frequently on every exam I've taken since so setting that foundation first has made the rest of the process that much easier. Also I found that CE was the easiest exam of the four I've taken before based on my work experience. If you've done much CA you will already know just about everything you will be asked on that exam other than specific contract questions.

I read through the entire Handbook to get a feel for the content areas and primary reference materials and picked the PcM to start because I thought I had the most experience in firm management. It was a good way for me to ease into the exams and get used to the test format. I relied heavily on AHPP and the AIA contracts and my own experience running my small department in a 100 person firm. Then I picked a longer one to test the waters - PPD, that went ok, then PA, PDD, CE, PjM. I don't have a ton of CA experience so some of the incidental info I absorbed for PPD, PA and PDD helped with CE.
