Practice Question: Two correct answers?
I took the practice PDD exam and came across a question that has two correct answers. See below.

I believe that both answers B and C are correct. There is not enough clearance for a front approach, pull side (B), nor is the door opening sufficient to meet clear opening requirements.
The clear opening of the door shown is 32" minus the thickness of the door (1 1/2"). 2009 ICC 117.1 states that clear opening is measured from face of door to stop (section 402.2, see below).

Moving the door to the right by 14 inches solves the pull clearance issue, while enlarging the door to 36" solves the clear opening issue.
So... Why write a question like this? Am I misinterpreting something?

This question was brought up a while back and they said they'd be reviewing it. Everyone - and tentatively NCARB - seemed to agree this question has problems.
