Are ceiling fans a type of evaporative cooling?
I'm reviewing the right answers to NCARB's PDD practice exam and ran into the question asking us to label the appropriate building systems for each condition on the chart. It is my understanding that for evaporative cooling, you need water and ventilation, but maybe I'm not understanding this concept correctly.

I know this is already being reviewed and you’ve got your answer, but I think it’s worth pointing out that while the zones indicated on the chart seem large, (a) they require occupants to take a pretty broad view of comfort, and (b) even then, the conditions the zones represent are not exactly typical!
Lots of natural approaches to comfort work when it’s warm and dry outside, which is essentially what the given chart tells us. So it’s accurate, but not enormously helpful. (Although it is indeed important to be able to read a psych chart).
