PPD time management during testing (PASS)
Just wanted to share how LONG the case studies took me as a portion of the four hour PPD exam.
I was feeling good when I got through the first section of the exam in 1.5 hours, leaving 2.5 hours for the two case studies (about 20 questions total). Well, I used every minute of it because there was a lot of thought involved, and lots of time spent looking through the reference materials! I think 2.5 hours was actually (barely) enough, although I got stuck on a couple of questions at the end and had to guess rather than fully solve them.
My next exam, I might do half the first section of simple questions, then one of the two case studies, in two hours, just to make sure I have enough time for everything.
Also think about when you'll take your breaks because, as they say, you can't come back to any question you've already viewed... making time management pretty important.
I'll also say that the case study questions are sometimes unrelated to each other... they all relate to the same set of documents, but I was asked to think about different scenarios in different questions on the same case study. So expect to consider each question on its own.

Hi Susan,
The case studies can be very engrossing! Most people wouldn't even have 2.5 hours to do them, nor would I recommend spending that long on them when there's only about 25 questions out of 100.
Sounds like you were very decisive on the multiple choice section and got through that part very quickly, which saved you a lot of time.
The case studies definitely do vary, though the resource docs are typically pretty similar.
Congrats on your pass & good luck on the exam one!
