I'm referring to one of the questions from NCARB's PPD practice exam. I generally understand how to read psychometric charts (though I am going to do more studying here, too). I'm more looking for guidance regarding the types of cooling strategies recommended based on certain points on a psychometric chart. The correct answers were pretty confusing to me. For example: Operable windows are the best choice for a climate with about 74* F and 80% relative humidity? Seems like you'd need some cooling (since the goal is typically 65* F), and letting the warm, humid air in the building wouldn't be very ideal. Any help or guidance to help understand the logic behind the answers to this practice question would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
