If you are estimating time for a staff member on a project and you find that he can spend 23.75 hours a week, would your round that up to 25 or round it down to 20?

  I would say 24 is the closest number to 23.75

  Depends on the question.

  Assuming it is multiple choice:

  If the option for 23.75 is given then choose it, if it asks to round to the nearest whole number and 24 is not an option, I would most probably select 25 over 20

  If it is fill in the blank and it does not ask you to round to the nearest whole number, double check your math and if it's still 23.75, then input 23.75
