PSI testing centers NYC
I took PPD on August on the closest option available Flushing Queens even though it took me around 1 hour commuting ) . It was not a PSI center, iit is called ACS professional testing. I arrived early an only 1 person was there made me sign in through a QR scan with my phone, NCARB or ARE was not an option when selecting the exam type.so I had to select PSI TLC. Five minutes before my appointed time (9 am) the proctor arrived and called me and thought I was there for TLC exam, I said I was there for ARE she had no idea, I explained further. She found the information of the exam I was taking and handed me a piece of paper with a pencilI. I said I cannot use that and proceeded to go to my computer. The room is tiny and the whole building vibrates constantly (I think due to the subway running under?) . A new employee started that day (the man that received me 1st was “interviewing” her right in front of people) both of them entered the room and started discussing proctoring procedures. I had to glance at them and gesturing to please lower their voice. Then other exam takers arrived and I don’t know what exam was it but they were talking to each other! It was a mess. I did not pass my exam and I do not (entirely) blame this experience but it makes me worry about my next exam. I will obviously avoid that center but there’s no many options available in the morning in Manhattan. I ended up scheduling at an AVNA center in lower Manhattan. I’m worried the experience is similar. Anyone in NYC had a good experience on one these PSI centers?
