holed vs holess hydraulic elevator
Hello,
I'm trying to understand installation/ initial cost for different types of elevators especially within hydraulic elevators.
I understand ( please correct me if i'm wrong) that gearless and traction elevators are more expensive then hydraulics... but
is holess cheaper than holed since you don't need to make a hole on the ground? or holed is cheaper because.. the system is simpler..?
Any feedback would be much appreciated! Thank you!

Hi Sangwon,
The Holeless Hydraulic elevators have a cylinder that is more telescopic, so it doesn't get installed very deep in-ground, I doubt the elevator itself is cheaper, but it's used where the soil (or rock!) conditions make it difficult to drill into or in a retrofit application. It's height is more limited than a typical hydraulic elev too, just 40'. Rise Above Elevator's website has some good info. Annoyingly, this forum isn't letting me post any links right now. :(Hope this helps & keep studying!
