Not a good online experience w/ PSI... Are online proctors bots?
This is my 2nd time taking a PSI exam online. The first one was smooth, not a single issue. The last one was a bit of a nightmare...My 3 issues are below, hopefully these can be fixed so no one else has to experience them.
1. Proctor was not going to release the exam because he said the name on my i.d. did not match the name on the exam. It was the exact same ID I have used for all other exams. After some back and forth with the proctor, I decided to call the help line...about an hour later, he finally released the exam. Not an ideal way to start an exam.
2. Proctor kept asking why I was moving out of camera view. I said, not sure what he was talking about and sorry. But after about the 7th or 8th time, I broke concentration and told him that I have been sitting the whole time and haven't once been out of camera view and if he could please stop interrupting, because it was very distracting. He finally clarified and said "I need to keep my entire head in camera view". I guess when I leaned in to read some of the text, he was unable to see my mouth? From then on, I tried to keep my entire head in the camera view, but still got a couple more pings when I leaned in to read some of the smaller text.
3. Got kicked out of the exam with about 15 minutes left. I had some sort of warning pop up on my screen, but then got kicked before I had a chance to read it. It took me about 15 minutes to go back through the log in process and thankfully no exam time appeared to be lost, but it was a very stressful 15 minutes and was difficult for me to get my head back in exam mode.
The whole experience made me wonder if the proctor was a bot? The exchanges with the proctor felt like I was chatting with a bot. Does anyone know if PSI uses bots to proctor exams?

Hi James,
Thank you for posting about your exam. We recommend that you report your exam experience to NCARB Customer Service so we can work with PSI to better the candidate testing experience.
Regarding bots, PSI uses real proctors and not bots.
