Did you find the questions on the exam were more in-line with the Design Hacks questions, or the Ballast questions (Which are considerably more difficult than designer hacks)?

AHPP is the best resource for CE, PjM & PcM.  Reading and understand the A101, B101, and especially the A201 is important for CE.  I read Ballast for every exam too.

Designer Hacks is too simple.  When I was taking exams, I noticed a lot of errors, even. in their free sample exams.  PPI/Ballast exams are good, but I didn't use them for this exam, so cannot comment on it.

Lourdes Gurrea Gurrea AHPP = Architect's Handbook of Professional Practice. And agreed with Rebekka - AHPP is one of the best resources for the pro-practice exams.

In my opinion both Ballast and Design Hack's questions are align with the ARE exam. But Ballast questions in my opinion are there to fill any gap in study material or subject that was not covered it the study book. So it is important that you go over the answers and make sure you learn them. On Design Hack, my experience was whenever I was doing good in the exams, it meant I was ready to take the ARE exam, and every time I passed with no issue.

Regarding AHPP, I took a look at that but I found it too detailed and lengthy which is not necessary to pass the exam. All the topics that you need to learn from AHPP is already covered in Ballast book.

I'd recommend the student version of AHPP.  The professional version is longer and more detailed than you need for the ARE in my opinion.  Between CE, PjM and PcM you need to read the entire student version though.

    Hope this helps someone!
