PSI Testing Center in Los Angeles Korea Town Learnet Academy
Dear NCARB,
I had a similar experience to that of a recent post about a Dallas testing Centerhttps://are5community.ncarb.org/hc/en-us/community/posts/7097550799127 . Mine was in Los Angels at the Korea Town testing center at Lerner Academy (3251 W6th Street)
Only one testing attendant with not way to monitor all the different people testing. No security check or anything as mentioned on the Dallas post. My computer crashed before starting the test. Waited about an hour get it resolved. Then it he set me up on a different computer and it crashed after the fist question. They offered me a reschedule but since I was going on a trip I asked to give it one more chance since other ARE candidate’s computer did not crash. I was able to finish the test and passed it.
The testing room was clearly a converted classroom with closely placed long tables, hard plastic chairs and cardboard dividers and no noise cancelling headphones. I have no other way to describe the facility other than being “ghetto.” I’m an not an entitled person and come from very humble beginnings but this is not what you would expect of a professional testing center. Overall PSI is defiantly a downgrade and I will be visiting other local testing centers before scheduling my next test. It is too bad because this center is so close to work and home.
