I've made a full video about passing the Project, Planning & Design, so I will summarize some o my experiences and share the video link below.
This exam was hard as expected. The resources I used were helpful, but I lacked foundation about systems, and material understanding, so I had to go beyond my initial resources.
Exam Attempt 1 Resources
1 ARE Facebook Group + Young Architect tips (occasional Black Spectacles) and NCARB guide
2 Archiprep (free month)
3 ARE Exam Prep
4 35% of the NCARB reading list ($$ business expenses worth $$$fails)
Exam Attempt 2 - Pass Resources
other 35% Recommended list ( main reference list)
5 Designer Hacks, PPD, PDD, and manufacturer data (especially fire construction) 6 The Amber Book
7 Archiprep 1 month Passing PDD
8 Pluralsight(50% worth it, free month agreement read very closely)
Essentially, I had to rethink and restudy the exam to pass this exam confidently. So check out my videos for video resources to add to your study collection.
