Our 100th session. . . . For charity. Thursday’s 6pm ET Amber Book : 40 Minutes of Competence program is our 100th group study session. I started it, with no intention of making it permanent, when the pandemic first erupted in March of 2020 to keep folks studying while the testing centers shut down. Now, 100 sessions later, we’re hosting ARE Trivia Night to mark the 100th session.

We’re donating $7 to the International Rescue Committee for each of you that shows up to the session, so just by attending, you’ve helped refugees. The week before last we hosted 311 participants, but I’m certain, with your help, we’ll break that record and donate thousands to help refugees. You’ll take the first five minutes of class to answer the first question alone, but if you would like to get a head-start on that, here is the first of our Trivia Night questions:

A roof, using tapered polyisocyanurate insulation, has two drains. The farthest distance between any drain and any point on the roof is measured at 54 feet. The architect desires the roof to be as flat as possible. What is the minimum vertical dimension between the highest point of the roof and lowest point? [please don’t post your answers publicly]
