PSI Testing centers

I just received a notice that the ARE outsourced testing centers are switching from prometric to PSI. I live in Delray beach Florida. Looking up testing center locations shows there is only "1" center in all of lower Florida.

Prometric offers several this change is going to be "extremely" difficult to book testing given there is only one testing center down here.

Sigghh we have one of the most difficult professions by which to obtain lincensure as it is. First that cumbersome useless integrated software white board and calculator with no tangible scratch pad and now this.

I am not one to complain and normally quite complacent but "cheese and rice"!!

This is ridiculous!!

Hi all,

We just discussed PSI test centers on today's NCARB Live - hope you were able to attend! If not, please take a look at the PSI Test Center list on NCARB's website. There are quite a few PSI test centers in Florida, including the southern end, listed on page 4.

Because PSI uses a combination of owned and 3rd party test centers, you will not find a complete list of test centers if you search google. Be sure to check NCARB's website, and make sure you're subscribed to NCARB Update emails, for more information as we move closer to launching with PSI on June 14.

I just came to the forum to see if anyone felt the same. There are few more spot up here in the Northeast, but not as many as Prometric. It is kind of forcing us to try the online method. And I have not heard many good things about online test taking.

I noticed there are less centers near me too, and they are all in different towns with PSI. I have checked 2xs, and the second time more locations had been added. Maybe they are adding more soon? South FL is highly populated; it seems strange there's only 1 location.

I'm not sure what to advise folks to do...

When can we start booking in-person test appointments at PSI? I attempted to book today for June 14th (and the weeks following) but nothing showed up.

Hi Stephen,

Scheduling exams with PSI is currently not available, but we plan to make an official announcement on when candidates can migrate/schedule with PSI in the coming weeks. Right now, you can schedule exams with Prometric through May 31.

Last night I migrated and was looking to schedule an exam on PSI.

I live in Raleigh, NC, and although "PSI Test Center List" shows 3 locations (2 in Raleigh and 1 in Cary) the system only showed 1 option (no matter what address, city I typed) and with only 2 dates in June available and nothing in the following months.

Are we going to see more options soon?

Hi Martin,

We are actively working with PSI to open up more time slots across their test center network. You should see additional availability in the coming weeks.

Thanks for the reply NCARB.

Right now I see only one date available (which is the same date that I'm already taking an exam, I'm not looking to take two exams on the same day).

There are other dates that show up with the light blue circle, which I thought meant availability, but still cant select any of those.

Is it because all of these dates are already fully scheduled or why aren't any available dates in July, August, etc.?

The "PSI Test Center List" shows several locations that at least on my end, never show up as an option.

UPDATE: You should now see additional timeslots at the test center you are referencing.

Hi NCARB,

I am having the same problem as Martin above. I am in the Washington DC area looking to test in one of the Maryland testing sites (college park or Lanham) or the DC site listed on NCARB's list. They do not even show up as available and the closest testing site for me will be about 20 miles away.
