Passed all ARE in 1.5 months--YAAAASSSS.
BLITZED it.

Although technically I had let my rolling clock expire and had to annoyingly retake 5/7 of the ARE segments I had already passed.
This test was SO different from the previous ARE 4.0 exam. Jay-zus! The previous exam was SO SO SO much harder. I used the Ballast Book ARE 5.0 with the blue cover, and the all-six divisions review questions book by Ballast with the Yellow Cover. I actually found it very straightforward. (Especially in comparison to the ARE 4.0).
My in-field experience really made me question some of the... questions. There were instances when I knew more factors would be at hand in making the correct decision in real life. I really tried to put on 'test blinders'. So much of the Ballast book was NOT in the test, especially in PPD PDD. I'm glad I didn't stress too much on those 2 sections of studying and skimmed moreso than reading.
I took a week (2-5 hours) to re review each section except PPD and PDD, which I gave 2 weeks each, but I slacked and really kind of gave them a week each.
