Yes whiteboard (virtual junk)
The reason the online whiteboard was enacted was because of the allowance of home testing brought on by the pandemic. They wanted assurances there was no media to allow for cheating. I took my exams at pro metric where they "used" to provide (under supervision) scrap paper and pen to use while taking the exam.
BUT because of the pandemic and at home testing they deleted that allowance at home and subsequently at the testing centers under the disguise of fairness. Ridiculous logic!
Well there is a simple solution ..simply allow a digital pen that interfaces with the cpu and online whiteboard. I am certain pro-metric would accommodate the tool since it is very inexpensive. I wonder if those structuring these exams understand what a digital stylus is as we used to use them in autocad to hand draw with...ego: we would not need the scrap paper!
The whiteboard as it exists now is garbage adds frustration and cheats time from the test takers. Architects have tangible mindsets...I used to draw with my hands on a drafting table.
To me this is no different than a carpenter trying to drill a hole with a dull bit.
It is shameful the problem has not been properly addressed but rather band-aided especially since this profession has some of the most difficult testing strategies of any profession. Hence the mediocre passing rates. Those that structure their tests in pro-metric should not have to endure hardships passed along by those that opt for home tests especially since there are ways to cheat in the home scenario regardless of scrap paper.
I accept the verbiage structure in the testing language: after all people are passing so why cant we. What I dont except is the crappy tools that make it more stressful than it has to be. I am reluctant to take another exam with this situation the way it is.
