Construction Details & Bldg. Code

Hi! 

So I'm planning to take CE in a couple of weeks, and I feel like I have the AIA Contract Docs down, but many people have been saying to study 'standard construction details' and to know parts of the bldg. code. Does anyone have any more specific advice on what to study besides the Contracts, like which specific details and parts of the code??? I don't have much construction experience, so any references would be helpful. LMK :)

  Hello,

  See the construction details on the Building Construction Illustrated, 6th Edition (Ch 3 & Ch 7) and Accessible and Usable buildings and Facilities , 2009 ICC-ANSI A117.1-2009 Chapters 3,4,5; they are very helpfull.
