Last minute exam cancellations
I am requesting that NCARB to represent test takers and demand immediate action from contracted test services providers when they cancel last minute on scheduled examinations. Cancellation of a scheduled test appointment via e-mail with an additional 7-day waiting period for future resolution from PROMETRIC after months of being booked is utterly unacceptable. My testing region is not under any emergency situation that will justify a month in advance cancellation: no natural disasters, no new COVID-19 regulations, nor extreme weather, or power outages. I am puzzled on what the reason is 30 days in advance, I get no response from the test taking provider, so I am requesting that NCARB to represent me in this matter and offer immediate booking options.
You as the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards shall represent test takers when issues like this arise, as we the test takers are not in contract nor have any say on contracted test services providers, NCARB is in contract with providers and are the only decision makers on who they contract with.
As your mission, you shall not only facilitate architectural licensure but also engage, represent and be responsive to "we" the members are found in this frustrating case: last minute examination cancellation. "We", the test-takers are facing unprecedented gross incompetence from test taking service providers. Please be proactive, take action and offer "us" the test takers immediate test taking dates and locations availability, as a two month waiting period after a contracted test service provider is simply unjust.

Amaranta,
Have you looked into the Amber Book course? It is a world of difference between anything else out there and with migration to PSI test taking platform, hopefully things will be much better for us.
Wishing you all the best and good luck with your test taking endeavors.
Jonathan
