Excited to share I crossed the finish line a little under a week ago with completing my 2nd attempt at PA!
Disclaimer: I have made the same post in the Facebook group, but came to the forums first when I started studying not knowing about the facebook groups, so want to share here too for anyone not on those groups. ("The ARE facebook group" is the group to search for if you want to request to join)
I was taking the amber book practice test for PA (my last test/a retake) and was just trying to wrap up getting the most out of the subscription before pausing/canceling it- was planning on taking a break before reattempting the PA portion....but I made a 70ish score (which was above the 50 recommended to schedule), having felt improved in CODE/ENV (areas I got lower scores in) from content overlap studying for PPD/PDD and the pretty hefty push and encouragement of loved ones to "Go take it!!!" - IT IS DONE.
It was still the HARDEST test in my opinion. The questions overall felt much longer than PPD/PDD.
Biggest suggestion (again Michael Riscica advice), they all count the same- go through and do the ones that come easy/you know better first, then come back to harder ones. I think this suggestion matters MOST for this test, as I found myself defaulting into sticking on longer questions and had to mentally be like NO - move on! Time is of the essence for PA.
Also, as hard as it is to devour all the technical content, try and tackle the exams closer together- I would recommend it (granted I was studying full time for 2.5 months). Amber book helped push me through the finish line for this last one, as well as committing to doing the PA zoom group with YA Bootcamp throughout the PPD/PDD bootcamp.
Hope this helps anyone struggling with PA!
