Digital White Board
The proctor online tool just doesn’t work well. It is already quite difficult to take notes with a mouse (not even a stencil), but the tool is imprecise and doesn’t write numbers. The text box and typing is also an option, but that doesn’t replace a pen and a paper in speed or ease of use either, especially if you have to be switching back and forth with the calculator. The tools of the exam are inefficient, slow and unnecessarily create an obstacle to performing well on the exam. Has anybody else experienced the same?

I share the exact same frustrations. I've found trying to use the whiteboard more of a hindrance than a tool.
During one of NCARB's live webinar's a couple weeks ago, the topic came up from another viewer. The way that the NCARB rep (forget his name) flippantly dismissed it and stated how massive of a security issue pen and paper are was maddening. He didn't even state why it's a security issue - just that it was. In some instances, it's as if they are trying to make this as far from a real-life scenario as possible.
